It’s always an honor for me to keep you informed about the situation of the clinics and in Haiti.
The clinic of Mariani: The area is safe so far. The transportation has been going well. For this week, there was less panic about the confrontation between police and gangs. The police vehicles didn’t show up. Children of the area go to school without fear. I guess the police are studying a strategy to make the operation because too many people are in Lambi, Mariani and Merger. Our children went to school and got back home safely. The children of Solace are fine. The employees came to work without a problem. The staff got food products, but we will have to work to make a path for the truck of water to come. The rain has caused problems to some people and on the road, but it was good to us since we had collected some water and this is what we’ve been using for the past few days.
The clinic of Tricon: I contacted the administrator of the clinic of Tricon, she said everything is fine. Patients came to be seen, and the staff went to work. As usual, we do not see as many people as we are used to seeing in the past because there’s just an increasing in the price to see a doctor and to give medicine. It’s reasonable, just 4 dollars.
Haiti: The highlights are on the Salvadorian operation in Haiti.The troops are deployed in Croix des Bouquets. We don’t have good figures about gangsters captured or killed. If the operation is aiming to annihilate the gangsters, it will be an answer to prayers of some people who are longing for peace for a long time. Registration for the elections are still going on even though the security is not yet acquired.We continue to have kidnappings in Delmas and some other areas of Port au Prince.
