      Help Support Hope Alive, please.

      • Please help support Hope Alive.

Thank you for your faithful financial and prayer support. What would we do without you? THE MISSION OF MARIANI is functioning well, thanks be to God. We are still receiving food, medicine, and most items we need. The older children of Solace and Kay Lanmou go to school, the employees come to work, and everyone arrives safely. We just added 2 new babies to our nutrition program, and we will post pictures in a few days. In addition to continuously providing medical care to the general public, Hope Alive Haiti has been feeding malnourished babies and supporting nursing mothers and families since we opened over 25 years ago. Solace has been an inpatient nutrition hospital for almost 10 years. Last week, Martine, our Solace administrator, went to Leogane for three days to participate in an educational conference with Haiti’s Health Ministry. It is normally a 30-minute journey if roads were not blocked, but Martine had to go through the mountains on a motorcycle for a very long ride. The conference was truly a blessing. No matter how long we have been serving, we count it a privilege to continue learning. After Hurricane Melissa, we did major reconstruction to redirect flood waters (pictured). Although we did not ask you for hurricane relief funding, help with this project would be appreciated. TRICON - the employees and the clinic building are doing well. HAITI - The road going south is still blocked. No vehicle of peaceful citizens can go through Gressier. There was a discovery made by the gang of « Lanmo San jou » of marihuana, cocaine, people’s bones at a big site that Apaid has where he cultivates marihuana. The police have intervened and we are watching closely to see the outcome of this event. The gangs are trying to attack at many places: they are - back in Kenscoff - in Mirebalais - fighting the police in Croix des Bouquets. - Turgeau in Port-au-Prince. Those who have controlled areas like Mariani, Merger, Carrefour, etc. are still running their business as usual without any panic. They collect money from vehicles (tolls) or anyone that is carrying something (merchandise, personal stuff that is valuable) that are passing in their area. Everyone must pay at each gang base. —- We have had enough, Lord, and we ask You- please say a word - please speak to us. Thank You. Amen.
