The Latest News from Renaud at Hope Alive in Haiti, April,2026. I am glad to send you some updates today about the ministry and the social and political situation. By the grace of God, I can say that we are surviving. THE CLINIC OF MARIANI - Medical and dental patients still come to Hope Alive to see our doctors and dentist. Yesterday, we treated 10 patients at the dental clinic. The children of Kaylanmou go to school, and they come back safely. The children of Solace are fine. All the employees are fine as well. They come to work and return to their houses safely. Thanks to God, our area is, so far, kind of safe. When I say “kind of safe” it is because we still see some guys going around with their big guns. We praise God because, so far, we can get supplies we need to keep the ministry running (such as food products, medicine, water, etc.). THE CLINIC OF TRICON - At the clinic of Tricon, everything is fine. The employees go to work and get back to their houses safely. Patients still come to this rural medical clinic to be seen by our doctor and given medicine by our nurse. It is still safe for people to go back-and-forth in this area. Unfortunately, the road that connects the clinic of Mariani to the clinic of Tricon is still closed. People are trying to go through the mountains on motorcycles, but it is very risky. Many people got kidnapped on that road, and some others even got killed during confrontation between police and gangsters. Some other people use big ships that transport merchandise from Port-au-Prince to the south. This is also risky, because the owners of those ships do not maintain them keeping them safe and in good shape. A few months ago, one big ship was carried away by the wind, because it did not have enough fuel for the journey. That is the same scenario with the planes. They do not take care of the planes or their materials, and sometimes you can hear that a plane crashes. We are waiting for the road to be opened before we can visit our Tricon Clinic. HAITI IN GENERAL - The situation is worsened by the increase in fuel prices. Daily expenses are higher. Many protesters got arrested this week. Elections seem to be postponed and, in the meantime, the prime minister is acting like a king with the international support. The police have also been in operation this week. A lot of drones were dropped today. The result is still not what we have been hoping for. Thanks for your prayers. Thanks for keeping Hope Alive in Haiti. ONLY GOD. May He continue to pour His blessings upon you.
