The war of gangs vs. police may escalate but Hope Alive still brings hope alive to Haiti. Our dental clinic, sewing school, medical clinics and of course Solace for malnourished babies keep them healthy and smiling. CLINIC OF MARIANI - The area is still somewhat safe so far. Employees can go back and forth to work and purchase supplies. Solace and Kay Lanmou children continue to go to school. Hope Alive Smiles Dental Clinic is functioning well. We plan some construction soon. CLINIC OF TRICON all is well. HAITI - There is a battle in our transitional government regarding term limits. We were anticipating politician terms would end February 7, but unfortunately, the majority of them have voted to extend terms 18 more months. Also, our hopes of the police opening the roads before February 7 seem to be dashed, because no efforts have been made to enforce that. Thank you for your prayers. May God bless you.
